Samsung_Galaxy_Note_3_Neo

We’ve seen leaked and rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo for what seems like months now, but a lot of us won’t ever really get to see the device in person.

Representatives from Samsung confirmed to Android Central and Engadget that it won’t bring the smaller version of the popular phablet to the U.S. or the U.K. The Galaxy note 3 Neo, sometimes called the Galaxy Note 3 Lite, will release in “select countries/regions.” To us that means the phone is destined for emerging markets where inexpensive low- to mid-range phones are the norm. When the device is ready for those markets, Samsung will announce pricing and availability in each one.

The Korean publication says that the news of Samsung’s wearables come from reports from several ‘industry watchers’ including IBK Securities analyst Lee Seung-woo. In the analyst’s words, “Samsung is currently working on the Galaxy Gear 2, and the product will be surely released early next year”. Furthermore, an anonymous source that is ‘close to Samsung’ says that the Gear 2 will likely be unveiled at MWC, alongside the Galaxy Band.

Samsung on Thursday announced U.S. availability details for its most recent tablet, the Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition that was unveiled only a few weeks ago at IFA 2013.

The new Note tablet will be launched on October 10 in the USA, with pricing starting at $549.99 for the 16GB version. The 32GB model will retail for $599.99, in case you need more storage.

The device will be available for pre-order starting with September 27 with some retailers.

Both devices are slightly more expensive than users would like them to be, but then again the Galaxy Note 8.0 is also pricier than buyers expected, so we can’t say we’re that surprised.
